  • sometimes
    i will think
    whether US’s invasion into iraq
    is rite or wrong.

    that Saddam Hussein is a tyrant
    everybody knows.
    to end his tyranny
    war is not the only solution.

    did this liberate the iraqi people
    from hunger, from darkness, from poverty, from atrocities?

    end of one chaotic era leads to the beginning of another.
    sigh…

  • until forever.

    when earthquake struck their homes,
    we broke up.
    the day was dark,
    as if saddness has broken the sky.

    grieved for the grief,
    lamented over the lament.
    okay
    we had enough.

    choose a silent light,
    and listen to the twinkling stars above.
    you will notice a non-spoken language;
    love is the universal language, which is
    older than the humanity, more powerful
    than words.

    look at the sea.
    stones disturb the water, make
    a sound and cause a ripple, which transits
    the power from here to there, toppling over
    hardest wall on earth.

    love is the stone.

    i believe
    love
    transcends
    age
    gender
    class
    race
    and distance.

    love can be small,
    as we wrote in xanga;
    love can be huge,
    as boxes of aid from all over the world
    are transfered to where they are needed.

    remember,
    love is all around;
    it’s never too far.

  • dating is tiresome;
    we are freed from it.

  • strangely, i hv found peace in myself.

  • To Kill A Mockingbird

    wt is democracy?
    Scout Finch, an 8-year-old, answered me, ‘ equal rights for all, special privilege for none.’
    I looked at democracy too narrowly, regarding it as only ‘a system in which ppl govern, or elect representative in the government’.

    If we were to grade a person, the only criteria would be…
    not power
    not wealth
    but the knowledge one possesses.

    Everyone is born equal? Not at all.
    but in front of one thing we are equal, the law.
    is it true? i hope wt i believe in is true.
